BROADCASTERS SAVING LIVES COLLABORATION PROJECT

Tornado Emergency

I was the field and coordinating producer who scheduled and planned over 32 interviews in Tuscaloosa and Joplin for Professor Scott Hodgson, myself, and our crew of 3 students. This is a behind the scenes video of our documentation of the role broadcasters play in saving lives during times of disaster plus three of the videos we produced in Tuscaloosa and Joplin. "Tornado Emergency: Saving Lives" won a Silver Telly Award and an Award of Excellence in the Promotional video category from the Broadcast Education Association. It has been submitted for an Emmy nomination in Oklahoma where it aired on OUTV.
