Do Right: The Stallings Standard

A Feature Length Film

All the interviews for “Do Right” solidify the fact that one person can help make the world a better place by showing authentic care and concern that everyone is treated fairly…no matter their situation.

This feature length documentary started out with a few interviews and packages with families who come from across the country to attend UA’s RISE School in 2016. It has transformed from a passion project to a funded feature-length film as a collaboration between myself as the producer, Dr. Michael Bruce as the director, and the Center for Public Television at UA editing the project. This 90-minute hour documentary shows the impact Coach Gene Stallings has had in singlehandedly bringing awareness to Down Syndrome by bringing his son John Mark into the spotlight with him.

In two 20-minute sections from “Do Right: The Stallings Standard”,  you will see the depth and quality of storytelling production from a 1.5-hour feature-length film which is in its final stages of post-production. These sections lack final narration from our Hollywood celebrity, audio sweetening, graphics/visual effects, and color correction.   Coach Gene Stallings is recognized as an advocate and the anchor for the RISE Schools which are in Tuscaloosa, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Huntsville, and Stillwater which are early intervention schools that prepare developmentally challenged children for elementary school.

The six sidebar segments were created as video features to accompany the film for web and social content as well as additional promotional content which is not included in the film.
