Community Foundation of West Alabama

As a multimedia journalist, I believe it’s important to make sure our students understand they have a role in the community and can create content that can make a difference. In my JCM 340 New Media class in Spring 2020, the students finished creating multimedia for our partnership projects with 11 nonprofits from the video I show while they were virtual from around the country. That wasn’t good enough for the Community Foundation of West Alabama and all they did to help nonprofits before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. So, I took time in the fall and built a new website for the foundation highlighting the nonprofits with the video and multimedia projects the students built. The CFWA linked to the website I built to give themselves more visibility of the projects they support and fund throughout the year.
