Since 2019, I have taught the JCM 501 and JCM 502 classes in our one year professional Master's Degree Community Journalism Program.

Production Media Tools

This production class introduces videography, audio, multimedia and graphic data creation to help students develop broadcast storytelling methods which meet industry standards. In this class, some are using equipment for the first time and some are learning how to up-their game for the professional world.

Producing Community Journalism

To produce community journalism content, you need to immerse yourself into an issue which impacts people. In this class, students create multimedia content based on an indepth issue. Below are some recent portfolio examples from our graduates who are now working in media around the country.
